Update from Neesie

Today (Friday) we checked out of The China Hotel, a Marriott Hotel, and stored our luggage. Then we drove 1 1/2 hours from Guanghou to Dongguan to visit True Children's Home. We got to see where YouYou stayed before she went into foster care. They have 2 apartments in a huge apartment building that they use, one for infants and one for toddlers. As you know, all of these children have medical needs. But they are so precious and the ladies who care for them are so attentive to them. They have a 2 child to 1 nanny ratio so they get great care. The nannies seemed very pleased to see YouYou. Erica and Aaron got to meet the foster mother and father. She said it was a very sweet meeting.

After we returned to Gaunghou we got our luggage and checked in to The Victory Hotel in another area of town. There is another couple that our guide is helping and we needed to be in the same hotel. We got here too late to see much but it seems like this hotel is more convenient to eating places and shopping. Tomorrow YouYou has her medical checkup and I think the final paperwork for her visa.

  4. Thanks Neesie and Missa! Is Aaron feeling better yet? I know everyone is praying that he does. Hopefully the computer situation there is a little better! I know we all want to hear and see as much as possible! Of course we understand you're busy. (I want to reiterate that in case we make you feel bad.) And congrats Aimee! I'm sure you're very excited!
